Greenlab Diamonds Receives Special Recognition Award
Recently, Mr. Mukesh Patel, Chairman of Greenlab Diamonds, received the Special Recognition Award for his significant contribution to the Lab Grown Diamond Sector in India at the 49th Edition of the India Gem & Jewellery Awards (IGJA2022). Organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the awards celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of top exporters, importers, and trade-financing banks. The award was presented to Mr. Vipul Patel, Director of Greenlab Diamonds, was presented the award by the esteemed Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution & Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal, at an event that occurred on April 23, 2023, at The Hotel Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.

For instance, Mr. Mukesh Patel, Chairman of Greenlab Diamonds, met with the Prime Minister’s office to explore the possibilities presented by the burgeoning lab-grown diamond industry. Mr. Patel provided an in-depth analysis of the financial sector to the Ministry of Finance, resulting in an SBI funding grant for lab-grown diamond equipment. He also highlighted the importance of R&D for technological independence, which reduces dependency on foreign imports.
Mr. Smit Patel, Director of Greenlab Diamonds, engaged with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to highlight the export opportunities for lab-grown diamonds and the possibilities for long-term job creation. His discussions with Minister Piyush Goyal played a significant role in making the industry an integral part of the “Make in India” initiative.
